The Christmas market in Szeged is marvellous again – photo gallery
The lights and the Christmas fair of Szeged are once again fabulous. Check the photos below!
The downtown of the city is beautifully decorated with a lot of coloured light bulbs, but there is a skating rink, a straw labyrinth and a beautiful castle, as well, awaiting both the children and their parents – szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu says.
Christmas on Dóm Square – which charms. This is what the advertisement of the Christmas market of Szeged says. It is open until December 24 from Monday to Friday between 12:00 and 21:00 and from Saturday to Sunday between 10:00 and 21:00.
Besides Advent programs, lighting shows, a fire juggler show called Fire Fantasy and a skating rink await the visitors.
The skating rink is 510 square metres and is next to the votive church of Szeged. The straw maze is the biggest in Southern-Hungary, and there is a beautiful castle, as well, for the small children.
There is a huge Advent wreath in front of the cathedral where a celebrity light one further candle each Sunday at 5 pm.Â
There are concerts, handicraft workshops, a castle cinema and cartoon heroes for the children. This year’s novelty is a selfie box where everybody can make their Christmas greetings. Of course, the spectacular lighting show will also return decorating the church, so it is worth to pay a visit to Szeged in the following weeks.
